Description of the of Project:
Here is where you will write about the project, the dates, the tools used and the process if it is unique. The project description should provide a general idea of skills that you were expected to use and the specifications you were expected to control or be mindful of during the project. Typically these will be listed on the blog post for the project at http://www.mrboothby.net.

Posting your Photos:

X-Atco Knives, Macro Mode, f.35 - 1/200th - ISO 800

You are expected to post and self critique your 3 of your own photos. The photos will have a small description to the right (in the small font) describing and critiquing the photos. The photos to the right are scaled down from their actual size (1000px across the top edge) Make the images link to larger versions of each. Use the information found in the Critical Eye Chapter to guide your critiques. You will also assign yourself a grade based on your work habits and success. Numbers will be assigned to your performance by you.
Self Critique:
Include a self critique that talks about the photo and how you would improve it if you were to complete the project again. What is good about it? What is Bad? What could be better?

Critique Sample:
This photo is a macro photo of papers that were sitting on the desk during the macro shoot. I like the photo due to the leading lines that establish eye motion leading you deeper into the image. The use of the shallo Depth of field creates les focus in the background so the eye is also drawn to the front of the image. The busyness and randomness of the papers creates interest and depth.

Self evaluation: Include the following

Focus: 1-5 pts, focus and center of interest evident.
Contrast & Optimization: 1-5 pts, good contrast and optimization results using Photoshop.
Visual Impact: 1-5 pts, Originality, visual impact, set-up and composition. Rule of thirds and design principles.
Presentation: 1-5 pts, Blog post with self critique well thought out.
Contact sheet: 1-5 pts, Was the contact sheet included in the bottom of the blog post?

Macro Shoot: Missing one photo.

Your contact sheet should be generated from bridge and posted here. When you select your images, and go to Tools > Photoshop > Contact SheetII. You will get the options for the pixel size. You should change the resolution to 72 for the web version of the contact sheet. After updating your blog and saving it. Please make sure that the image is clickable and display the larger version when clicked.

Drawing tools: Pen, Pencil & Change anchor Point tool.

Self Reflection: This is where you are expected to reflect upon your work. Please talk about what you completed well, what cam easy, what was hard to accomplish and why. This is your opportunity to justify any shortcomings in your project. Be Honest.
Part/Proj: 8/9 (Finally, rank your participation AND product on a scale from 1 to 10 separated by a fwd slash, 10 being the best. So, your participation/project ranking should look look like this: 8/9.)

Allow comments for your projects and after you have created the post you will need to solicit feedback in the form of comments from classmates or visitors.

Below is a set of definitions to use as an example on how a student can display a definition list using Blogger. For a quick primer on using Blogger posting features go to this link.

DEFINITION: this first definition should look like a definition in a dictionary. There is no reason for spelling errors since you all are using a computer to post this information. Below you will find picture to support your definition as needed. The second definition will be the same as the first. Notice the use of different sizes to show different thoughts and relationships.
- Hint: Adding images cannot be done correctly by cutting and pasting into this window. You will need to use the 'Place image button above (to the right of the 'link' button)
